The NHS treats countless people every year for alcohol related illness and accidents. While sporadic binge drinking and regular heavy drinking are problematic, alcohol dependency or addiction is the most serious problem and the most likely to lead to a serious medical condition. Getting treatment as soon as possible is the only way to try and return the body to a healthy state.

Finding a support system that works for you is crucial in becoming a non-smoker. It needn’t be a lonely, isolated journey which you take by yourself. Whether it be via an online forum, local church group, or through family and friends (excercise caution here), the key is to find people to help you in times of strife.
