Acne is the biggest problem in an adolescent’s life and also cause some problems for adults. Acne occurs when the skin becomes clogged. It’s a recognised medical condition. While it’s common, for most people acne is the cause of embarrassment and frustration that can upset their daily lives.

Apart from ruining smooth skin, acne can also be a sign of more serious health problems. Either way, most people who have acne problems seek a permanent cure for it by spending lots of money. Acne can be any of the following: clogged pores, whiteheads, blackheads, pustules, pimples or cysts. The main cause for acne is excessive oil production from the skin’s oil glands.

Oil glands act as the skin protector, but sometimes, the skin cells below the surface blocks the oil from releasing and causes an oil build up under the skin layer. The retained oil stimulates naturally existent skin bacteria, which in turn multiplies and inflames the surrounding skin. This is acne.

Unlike what many people believe, acne is not passed on from your parents, nor is it related to any consumed foods, sweat and dirt, hormones, stress or cosmetics. These have not been proven to be a direct cause for acne. But, some drugs containing iodides, steroids and bromides, certain industrial chemicals and helmets, collars and straps which apply pressure on your skin are known to cause and aggravate acne. Some people are prone to more oilier skin conditions and this is possibly caused by hormonal activity, but there’s no definite proof for it.

When to treat acne is completely up to the person who has it. If it becomes extreme and is causing difficulty in a person’s life, then treatment should be sought. Even if your acne is not extreme, but it is constant and never really seems to clear up, you might want to consider some treatment.

If you wish to cure your acne in a natural way that is both permanent and effective, you will have to make some changes to your lifestyle. When you think about the ways that acne can happen, you will realise that clearing the clogged pores and getting rid of the bacteria is the most effective way to treat your acne.

Not everyone can afford eight hours of sleep or to drink eight glasses of water and eat balanced diets every day. Most people nowadays have rushed schedules and there are a few simple ways to reduce acne and permanently cure it by using natural methods.

Opening the pores requires skin cleansing and proper care. There are no magical remedies to cure acne. Daily cleansing, exfoliating and moisturising are the steps to healthy skin care. Antioxidant food varieties, such as leafy green vegetables, are excellent for improving your immune system, in turn fighting bacterial reactions. Reducing your oil internally is risky, since you shouldn’t interfere with your hormones and metabolism. Instead, the focus should only be on reducing the skin surface oil.
